Holding space for leaders, groups and individuals is what I do best. I am a facilitator, consultant, speaker, and an integral coach. I continuously grow and evolve in engagement with the community of other coaches, business partners and my friends and family.

I am grateful that I live my passion from coast to coast in working with the Canadian military, federal departments, private organizations in Canada and internationally. I have learnt and have come to believe that our way back into our humanity and creating great organizational cultures is through embracing our vulnerabilities, fears and insecurities AND when leaders learn to shift their state of presence to be in the “here and now”, be aware of the self-parts that are difficult and learn to hold them with compassion, they can create a highly transformative culture.

I’m always guided by the question; does the work I dedicate my life to ensure that my son, and his generation will inherit a future brighter than our present?

My Story

Beginnings

Seeds bear fruits and one such metaphorical seed was planted in me by my father, who fled from Pakistan to India with his younger siblings and parents on horses. It was past midnight when neighbours and good friends knocked on doors and signaled them to leave the country as communal riots broke out in the wake of colonial departure. My mother shares a similar story. Both my parents grew up appreciating that they were granted a unique gift: To live life again! They made the most of each day, embraced hard work and dynamism. In my growing up years, I experienced my dad establishing and supporting many local refugees and helped them establish many start-ups. He paved the way for many and lost his eyes for standing up against injustices and rivalries in the business community. 

With such a legacy, I acquired passion to work with people for their personal effectiveness and its link with conducting businesses in a better way. I dedicated myself to completing a master’s degree in biology, studied the art and science of, conflict, intercultural, deep diversity topics, intersectionality, EDIB, integral coaching, the power of presence & conscious leadership. With deep experience in the public sector, corporate world and as an entrepreneur, I now draw from all my experiences and training to combine facilitation, coaching and strategy. For building a container and skilling at hard conversations towards an inclusive leadership & achieving personal goals, I help clients build on their existing success. 

I discovered my love for sailing when I married my husband, a Marine Captain. We lived on cargo & cruise ships and sailed on high seas in several parts of the world, exposed to diverse cultures and languages. I learnt about myriad ways of living life by closely observing and immersing myself in different cultures. I learnt that the colour of our skin varies in its lightness or darkness, privileges are bestowed because of our social location however, our shared struggles and rituals have an incredible energy to heal and unite us. 

Experience

In 2001, I was offered an opportunity to design leadership and intercultural communication workshops to educate individuals in the booming businesses and corporate world all over India, and later in Singapore and Nepal etc. I traveled and worked with open minded leaders, doing research, hiring talent, facilitating workshops, and interviewing folks for middle and senior positions to lead teams in the private & public sector, technology, banking, and manufacturing industry.

I’m a facilitator, speaker and certified integral coach and received my training at New Ventures West in California, in good standing with ICF. I have led presentations, workshops, coaching & consulting projects, facilitated research & assessments-based workshops in Inclusive leadership, equity, diversity, inclusion & belonging, Intercultural competencies. I do one-on-one Coaching & facilitate group work through Coaching Circles.

I immigrated to Canada in 2004 and after a career in Intercultural, EDIB project management, learning and development, I registered my company in 2014.

I support leaders and c-suite executives to grow black, ethnic minority leadership talent using proven principles of Integral coaching, adult education, emotional intelligence, intercultural readiness check (IRC), somatic practices and enneagram personality assessments. My focus is leadership development, and executive support in tackling unconscious bias, racism, and oppression in organizations., I know first-hand what it’s like to feel stuck, overwhelmed, and afraid to step into hard conversations.  

I am grateful that I live my passion from coast to coast and internationally, working with some of the biggest Canadian organizations.
